We are a vibrant Prep to Year 7 campus situated in the Gateway Learning Community of schools in Brisbane’s south. With a population of 440 students we are able to offer our students broad and exciting choices both through curricular and extra curricular activities.
Morningside State School is committed to providing every child with a balanced education in a supportive environment. Our goal is to maximise the educational outcomes and opportunities for every student. Our staff is committed to achieving this goal for each student. Our vision is to promote experiences for students that will take them beyond the Morningside fences and create lifelong learners. Programs from camps to web quests to virtual classrooms are implemented to assist in achieving this vision.
Literacy and numeracy remain our core business and we consistently achieve sound academic results in national testing. We promote active, healthy students and embrace the Healthy School- Smart Choices and Smart Moves policies. We have an active Swimming club and an Outside Hours School Care program.
We understand the importance of home-school partnerships in helping us ensure achievement of the best possible social and academic outcomes for our students. We value and encourage open and effective communication.
